AI image sharpener
Image Sharpener
Make soft images crisp. The AI sharpens edges, brings back fine texture and cleans up noise, without the halos and grain a sharpening slider adds.
Why use an AI image sharpener?
Real detail, not just contrast
A classic sharpen filter only boosts contrast along edges, which adds bright halos and grain. The AI rebuilds the texture a sharp photo should have, so edges look clean instead of outlined.
Noise is removed, not amplified
Sharpening a noisy photo usually makes the noise worse. Here grain and JPEG blocks are cleaned up in the same pass that sharpens the image.
Sharper and larger in one step
Results are also upscaled 2x or 4x, up to 4096 pixels on the longest side, so a sharpened image holds up when it is shown or printed large.
Works on more than photos
Product shots, screenshots, artwork and logos saved at low quality all come out with crisper lines.
What people sharpen images for
Product and listing photos
Make fabric, labels and edges crisp so shoppers can see the details when they zoom in.
Images that were resized
Pictures that went soft after being shrunk, enlarged or re-saved by an app or website.
Profile pictures and portraits
Crisper eyes and hair for avatars and headshots. Turn on Enhance faces for the best result.
Graphics and screenshots
Logos, slides and screenshots with fuzzy edges or text.
Tips for sharpening images
- 1
Use it on soft photos, not blurred ones
The sharpener works best on images that are a little soft. If a photo is clearly out of focus or shaky, try the Unblur Image tool instead.
- 2
Choose 2x to sharpen, 4x to also enlarge
2x is enough to sharpen a photo of normal size. Pick 4x when the image is also small.
- 3
Don’t sharpen twice
Upload the original, not a copy you already sharpened in an editor. Earlier sharpening halos get treated as detail.
