What QualityEnhancer collects, how your photos are processed and stored, and the choices you have.

  • Your photos are used only to create your enhanced image.
  • We do not sell your data, show your photos publicly or use them to train AI models.
  • Uploaded photos and results are deleted automatically within 30 days.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Who we are

QualityEnhancer ("we", "us") runs the AI photo enhancer at qualityenhancer.app. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the website, why, and what you can do about it.

Information we collect

  1. Account information: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), or your basic profile if you sign in with Google.
  2. Photos and results: the images you upload for enhancement and the enhanced images we create from them.
  3. Credits and purchases: your credit balance, the credit packs you buy, and order details such as the amount, currency and date. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
  4. Usage and device data: pages visited, enhancement settings you choose (such as 2x or 4x), approximate location from your IP address, browser and device type. We use this to run, secure and improve the service.
  5. Cookies: cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and analytics cookies if you allow them.

How your photos are processed

When you click Enhance photo:

  1. Your browser may resize the photo so it fits the AI model's limits.
  2. The photo is uploaded to our storage on Cloudflare R2.
  3. Replicate, our AI processing provider, downloads it, runs the Real-ESRGAN model (and GFPGAN if you turn on face enhancement), and returns the result.
  4. We save the result to our storage so you can download it.

Your photos are not reviewed by people, not shared with other users, not listed publicly and not used to train any AI model, by us or by our providers.

How long we keep data

  • Uploaded photos: deleted automatically within 30 days of upload.
  • Enhanced results: deleted automatically within 30 days of creation. Download anything you want to keep.
  • Replicate: keeps inputs and outputs of API predictions only briefly (about one hour) before deleting them.
  • Account, credit and order records: kept while your account is open, and afterwards as long as needed for tax, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations.

Service providers we use

We share data only with providers that help us run the service, and only what each one needs:

  • Cloudflare: website hosting, database and photo storage (R2).
  • Replicate: running the AI enhancement models.
  • Stripe: payment processing and receipts.
  • Google: sign-in, only if you choose "Continue with Google".
  • Our email provider: account and transactional emails.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or the service.

Security

Connections to the website are encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored as hashes, sensitive settings are encrypted at rest, and access to production systems is restricted. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of any breach where required by law.

Your rights and choices

You can:

  • See and update your account details in your account settings.
  • Download your enhanced results before they are deleted.
  • Ask us for a copy of your personal data, or ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Close your account. We then delete your personal data, except records we must keep by law.

Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, such as objecting to certain processing or complaining to your data protection authority. Contact us to use any of these rights.

Children

QualityEnhancer is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know through the website or by email.
